1)    True and pure passion is what Christ has for us.  He is constantly seeking us, wanting us to love him totally and completely.  He even gave His life so that we might have an intimate connection with Him.  Romantic love is only a human (and thus slightly imperfect) reflection of Christ’s true love for us.  Being committed to our love for and with Him should be our primary focus.
2)    True purity is not just the avoidance of intercourse—it entails so much more than that. Although future husbands and our relationships with them will be beneficiaries of a life of purity, it is not just for them that we stay pure.  Purity is important to our relationships with the Lord as well.  We were specifically and lovingly designed by Him—our bodies are His temple—and a decision for purity is more about pleasing Him and keeping our spirit-man strong than it is about our husbands later on (although its for them too!)
