It’s 11:57 PM, this is going to be a short one. Early morning with plenty of activities.
- Pastor K shared the last part of his “Relate to Authority” and I believe the point got across tonight!! Excellent scripture verse to back up the message with Romans 13:1-2. The illustration that he used I believe brought home the point the importance of respecting authority. (How are you doing, when it comes to authority?)
- Worship Team continue their great job of leading worship, and I thought it was pretty creative to have some of the members down at the altar actually doing worship. Kind of like modeling to the kids how its done, without telling them thats what they were doing. Thought it was cool. But the kids were not into it. It’s like I want to grab the mic and say “Don’t ya know that he died for yall, and you can’t even raise a arm to say thank you , cause ya scared what your friends might say.” But I figured the time will come.
- We showed the Lecrae video as a promo to the kids cause next weekend, he will be rocking the building at our Riz’N Fest. (this event will be off the chain. I’m believing God for over 2,000 people to be here. And just do something RADICAL and change peoples lives!!) Be praying for us!
- We had 113 Teens (2 mo’ then last week), 1 young lady give her life to Christ (High Five), and about 7 kids prayed for when it comes to relating to authority!!
- Tonight I guess some former youth members came by after service to show off their cars. The reason I mention it is because, as I was taking some of the teens home on the bus, this one young lady was in amazement (as if she saw Dwayne Wade or Usher in person) and just could not stop talking about the fact this young man came through showing off his car. I don’t understand why grown men, want to come by a youth group and show off their cars. Like I was telling PK tonight it’s as if they need their man ego excited since they are not getting enough attention elsewhere.
Well I think I kept it short, at least I tried too!! Great job to everyone. I don’t think I’m going to the gym tomorrow. I’m tired!! Ha Ha. I hope I go!!

Hey. Seen your blog a couple of times and have enjoyed reading. Noted you have Perry Noble on your list. I’m fortunate to be able to catch him most every Sunday night. He’s the real deal. Anyway, my wife and I help a lot with our youth group and it’s cool to see your heart for your kids…
Ah thats cool Steve! Thanks for checking me out. And you are right, you get the front row of Perry Noble. Every once in a while, I print one of his blog, for all the staff I work with. Great stuff!! Pass along the message and tell him, to keep blogging and you do the same!! Just like you, im sure you love youth, and man I love them. I don’t have any kids YET, but these teens are my KIDS!! Love every single one them!!
